Gantry robots for working loads up to 3150kg are constructed on the basis of the carriages modules. Two designs are available : along with the classic KOP gantry robots with 2 X-axis are the KOA gantry robots with cantilever with only one X-axis. Depending upon the working load, gantry robots are supplied in aluminium or steel or in a combination of both. The guide system for all axes is based on hardened guide rails with rollers on the carriage for each axis. The drive is generally implemented by means of a rack and pinion although some size are alternatively supplied with a toothed belt drive.The drive is generally implemented by means of servo motors.
